We have a number of exciting overseas jobs for those experienced in childcare, sports coaching, resort management guest relations management for the summer season. The roles are based in our fantastic resorts and children's clubs in some of Europe’s top 5 star resorts.

Role Purpose


Resort Manager

Dedicated and highly motivated individuals who manage our full operation at the required destination, ensuring all our guests receive exceptional service. This position holds overall responsibility within the resort and is very diverse in its portfolio of associated duties. While the role is primarily that of overseeing the work of the team and the other managers, problem solving is a significant responsibility, being ready and willing to get involved in any aspect of the operation from Childcare to Guest relations to human resource management.

 

Responsibilities for Resort Manager

From our teams, we expect an attitude whereby “Nothing is too much trouble”. There will be an expectation for you to meet following obligations:

  • Ensure all guests always receive the highest possible level of “Scott Dunn” service.
  • Effectively manage and oversee the resort team, leading by example.
  • Create a positive team atmosphere.
  • Ensure all staff carry out their roles according to Scott Dunn standards.
  • Follow grievance and disciplinaries/staff policies in line with company standards.
  • Be responsible for all communication and processes for any arising issues within the team.
  • Ensure property and equipment is looked after with the utmost care.
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with all suppliers (in resort and beyond).
  • Work closely with the UK team to ensure the smooth running of the resort.

 

Duties 
Administrative / HR

  • Work closely with Guest Relations Managers to co-ordinate guest bookings.
  • Support the Guest Relations Manager to facilitate resolutions of issues (complaints, changes to travel plans and medical issues etc).
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently to ensure effective running of the resort.
  • Inspire and lead the team through regular meetings, one to one reviews and team building.
  • Ensure the day-to-day logistics of resort are planned and clearly communicated to the team.
  • Manage staff accommodation, ensuring teams always treat it with respect.
  • Work to a budget and report regularly on all costs.

 

Childcare 

  • To contact all guests (pre-departure) to confirm details about their upcoming holiday.
  • Book the Kid’s Club external activities on a week-by-week basis.
  • Support the childcare team in weekly logistical tasks.
  • Ensure any health and safety issues and potential risks are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide a degree of flexibility wherever possible to meet business needs.
  • Oversee the standard of cleanliness within the Kid’s Club premises.
  • Implement all policies and procedures to promote efficient operational standards.

Essential Experience

  • Clear spoken and written English
  • Basic academics – including maths, English and IT.
  • Previous experience of managing teams in a hospitality environment
  • Available for the whole season (early May until early November)

 

Desirable Attributes

  • Full UK/EU Driving license
  • Fluency in Greek 
  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification

 

You must hold Greek Residency to be employed, or an EU passport to work on a self-employed basis.
