Job Title: Dorset Farm Manager
Location: Dorset
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 40-50 hours, Monday – Friday (Weekends if required)
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience and qualifications
You enjoy nothing better than getting up to those early frosty mornings, birds singing, sliding into your muddy wellies, and working outdoors with nature. Your exceptional farming knowledge and managerial experience ensures the smooth running of your organic and conventional production. Your attention to detail, overseeing operations and making sound business decisions, gives you joy and excitement in harvesting the fruits of your labour. Our customers delicious watercress wouldn’t make it their tables without your leadership, hard work, and dedication.

Farming is beyond a full-time job, battling the weather conditions, working weekends, and never really being able to take time, doesn’t stop you because your crops won’t take care of themselves. This role will be Monday – Friday, Sunday harvesting during season depending on operational requirements. A life on the farm may sound really tiring and full of effort, however the satisfaction and fulfilment working with a single crop gives you a real sense of pride and love for your work.
Vitacress Salads, based in leafy St Mary Bourne, Andover is one of the principal salad and watercress suppliers in the UK. With our own salad leaf farms, we take immense pride in delivering a field to fork operation. We grow, wash, pack and distribute salad and watercress for retailer own brands and our own brand Steve’s Leaves.
